Delete Your Phoenix LMS Account

1. Overview

You can request permanent deletion of your Phoenix LMS account and the personal data associated with it. This page explains how to submit a request, what data we delete, what we are legally required to keep, and how long it takes.


2. Delete Your Account From Inside the App

The fastest way is to delete your account directly from the Phoenix LMS mobile app:

  • Open the Phoenix LMS app and sign in.
  • Go to Settings → Security & Data Protection.
  • Tap Delete Account and confirm.
  • The app sends a deletion request to our support team via WhatsApp and signs you out of the device immediately.

3. Request Deletion Without the App

If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot sign in, you can request deletion through either of the channels below. Please include the email address or phone number registered to your account so we can verify your identity.


4. How Long It Takes

After we receive your request and verify your identity, your account and associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 24 hours. If verification takes longer (for example, if the contact details don’t match our records), we will reach out to you on the same channel you used to request deletion.


5. What Data We Delete

The following data tied to your account is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Profile information: name, email, phone number, profile photo, date of birth.
  • Authentication data: password hash, session tokens, device identifiers.
  • Learning data: course enrollments, lecture progress, quiz attempts, bookmarks, and notes.
  • Wishlist & cart: saved items and any draft orders.
  • Communications: in-app messages and support conversations.
  • Preferences: language, theme, and notification settings.

6. What We Are Required to Retain

Certain records must be kept after account deletion to comply with Bangladesh tax, accounting, and consumer-protection law. These are stored in anonymized form where possible and are not linked to your active profile:

  • Financial & order records: invoices, payment receipts, and refund records are retained for up to 6 years for tax and audit purposes.
  • Fraud & abuse logs: minimal records of serious policy violations may be retained to prevent re-registration of banned accounts.
  • Anonymized analytics: aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify you as an individual.

7. Things to Know Before You Delete

  • Deletion is permanent. You will lose access to all enrolled courses and purchased content.
  • Active subscriptions or installments are not automatically refunded — see our Refund Policy.
  • Once deletion is processed, the same email or phone number can be used to create a new account, but past progress cannot be restored.
