Account & Data Deletion Policy
Applies to the Phoenix Education app and website, developed by Phoenix Education.
At Phoenix Education, we respect your privacy and provide you with full control over your personal data. If you wish to close your account and permanently remove your information from our systems, you can easily initiate a deletion request through any of the options below.
How to Request Account Deletion
You do not need to be logged into our mobile application to request data deletion. Please choose the method most convenient for you.
Method 1: Direct Messaging & Chat (Fastest Manual Process)
You can text our support team directly to request manual deletion. Please provide the mobile number or email address associated with your account.
Our team will verify your identity and manually process your deletion request within 24 to 48 hours.
Method 2: Email Request
You can send an email from your registered email address to our support desk.

What Data Will Be Permanently Deleted?
Once your manual request is verified and processed by our team, the following data will be permanently and securely wiped from our databases:
- User Profile Information: Your name, registered phone number, email address, and profile preferences.
- Account Authentication: Access tokens, secure login credentials, and session histories.
- App History: Saved preferences, notification logs, and app-specific user metadata.
- Learning Data: Course enrolments, progress records, cart and wishlist contents, and delivery addresses.
Data We Are Required to Retain
In compliance with local regulatory frameworks and financial auditing standards in Bangladesh, certain data cannot be immediately expunged. We will retain:
- Financial Transaction Records: Invoice and payment logs handled via local payment gateways (bKash and SSLCommerz) will be kept strictly for mandatory corporate accounting and audit timelines. This data is fully isolated and never used for marketing or tracking purposes post-account deletion.
Retention period: Transaction records are retained for 6 years from the date of the transaction, as required by Bangladeshi tax and accounting law, and are permanently deleted once that period expires.
Processing Timeline
- We verify your identity and process the request within 24 to 48 hours of receiving it.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Access to purchased courses and materials is lost along with the account.
- Backups are purged on our regular backup rotation, within 30 days of deletion.
- We confirm by phone or email once the deletion is complete.
